This guzheng is made by the well-respected Japanese instrument maker Mitsuya Koto. Mitsuya Koto is known for their specialty in making bigger size koto. The family has a long tradition of making big number string zithers.  They made the famous 80-string koto for Michio Miyagi in 1929.

The guzheng is designed by Zheng Art of Hong Kong.

This model 5WSeries "The Ultimate" is carved out from a top grade 50-year-old Japanese aizu paulownia tree.  The tree was air-dried for 5 years.  The carved out body is seamless connected to the bottom board.  The back of the soundboard is hand carved with "W" shape sound grooves (double ayasugi) which makes the sound spreads out evenly instead of forced out from the sound holes.    The side is decorated with Japanese washi design frame.

This guzheng is equipped with Dunhuang professional B strings and Xuanguang Aged Rosewood (Thai Rosewood) bridges.

The sound of this guzheng is clean and dynamic.  The bass is undoubtfully one of the best in the world.  The high notes are bright and crispy with long rings.  The transition is even and solid across the strings, definitely has the best even transition among all guzheng.

All the bridges and strings are fine-tuned and adjusted to ensure the best sound quality.
