This is the popular Haitang Guoyue 110 cm guzheng “Qiluan” (Mountain Perch). The soundboard is carved from a single piece of paulownia and framed with elegantly Ziricote wood.
Despite its compact, travel-friendly size, it produces a surprisingly powerful and resonant tone, with a full and solid bass response. Compared with most guzhengs in the 100–110 cm range, “Mountain Perch” stands out for its depth and punch in the lower register, delivering a richness more commonly found in full-size instruments.
