A Jindo Buk is a specific type of Korean barrel drum from Jindo Island. It is traditionally associated with the Jindo Buk Nori dance. It's a shallow, barrel-shaped drum made of wood and covered on both ends with animal hide, typically cowhide. The Jindo Buk Nori is a distinctive drum dance where the buk is strapped around the drummer's waist, and techniques from the janggu drum (hourglass-shaped drum) are adapted and played on the buk.
